近日，生命科学学院特邀美国密歇根大学分子细胞及发育生物学系教授、系副主任王彦庄在生命科学研究中心101报告厅举行作了题为“Golgi Biogenesis, Function, and Defects in Diseases”的学术报告。杨桂文教授、耿越教授及相关专业的老师和同学们积极参加了此次报告。报告会由生科院周军教授主持。  

报告会上，王彦庄首先介绍了高尔基体的有关研究，包括高尔基体如何形成,细胞分裂时如何形成一个新的高尔基体以及高尔基体缺陷所导致的疾病等。随后他又介绍了高尔基体不进行堆叠会增强COPI囊泡的形成,并且破坏高尔基体会影响蛋白糖基化程度。王彦庄介绍了高尔基体和老年痴呆症之间的关系，高尔基体碎片的累积和老年痴呆有关。报告会最后，王彦庄与老师和同学们进行了深入的探讨交流，现场气氛热烈。此次精彩的学术报告让在场的师生感受到了国际前沿科学的发展脉搏，为老师和同学们提供了诸多借鉴之处，同时也开阔了同学们的科研视野，更激发了同学们的科研热情。 

Dr. Yanzhuang Wang is a Professor of Cell Biologyand Associate Chair in the Department of Molecular, Cellular and DevelopmentalBiology (MCDB) at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is also a Professorin the Department of Neurology at UM Medical School. Dr. Wang gained hisBachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biology from Nankai University in China. Hethen received his PhD in Neurobiology from the University of Heidelberg inGermany, where he worked on neuroendocrine secretion with Dr. Wieland Huttner. Before joining the UMfaculty, he worked with Dr. Graham Warren at Yale University, first as aPostdoc Associate, then as a Research Scientist. At Yale he worked on Golgi structureand function.
